Over the past few weeks we’ve been celebrating solopreneurs, freelancers, online educators, photographers, makers, lifestyle brands and unconventional creative businesses through our #VenturePopLoves social media spotlights. This series is where we showcase the brilliant products and services from interesting creative entrepreneurs from the VenturePop community!

Incase you missed any, we wanted to do a little round up of the first few spotlights! Click around and get to know our talented biz buddies!

Juliet Meeks specializes in brand design for small businesses. It’s been 1 year since Juliet left her full-time job and we are so proud of the business she has built for herself!

Since attending #VenturePop2015 Juliet has launched an online shop full of her custom painted patterns, watercolor prints and floral stationery, perfect for any occasion!

Nathan Allotey is a digital strategist and complete jack-of-all-trades. His passion is to create things and then make them better, which is why he started his blog to showcase how you can make your business more successful through branding, digital marketing and web design.

Since attending #VenturePop2015 Nathan has launched 2 podcasts, Freelance Jumpstart TV and Road to Launch. Currently, Nathan is building the Freelance Jumpstart course, a step by step guide to growing your business as a freelance creative which is set to launch before VenturePop 2016!

Sam Randolph of Little Histories – Sam is the illustrator of a series showcasing architecture from popular cities! Her New Orleans features are our favorites, of course. Colorful and geometric, the designs are pleasing to the eye and nostalgic for the soul. They also make fantastic prints to add to a gallery wall.

“Meeting new people at VenturePop got me the largest client that I’ve ever had. Through Bashir Wali’s speech, I learned about the connections my business and Provenance Hotels has. I contacted them after the conference, and they commissioned a set of all their hotels from me!” – Sam Randolph

Chelsea Friend started Atchafalaya Trading Co in 2014 with the mission of creating a digital community to connect people to the small businesses of New Orleans that create beautiful, well-designed, and sustainable goods. Now two years later, the company is thriving and supporting small business owners the way they know best! Not only is Chelsea the coolest, but she knows the best people and places to shop from in NOLA.

“Without attending VenturePop my biz would not be where it is today. I can’t give enough praise to this fantastic event!” – Chelsea Friend

He’s ½ of Love is Rad and one of the coolest photographers we know. Starting with local brands such as Revival Outpost and working his way up to Krewe du Optic, Ollie Alexander shoots lifestyle campaigns for retail brands as well as running Love is Rad with Hannah McSwain. Catch him wandering coast to coast capturing beautiful desert bohemians and the prettiest small-town cityscapes.
