VenturePOP was born from two local creative entrepreneurs who were hooked on traveling nationally and internationally to noteworthy conferences. “There’s just something about being around a group of like-minded go-getters”, said Oustalet. “The entire room buzzes with excitement and the possibilities seem endless. When you work alone, you need to seek out ways to get connected, re-inspired, and reinvigorated.”
The duo met over drinks one night, each with ambitions to bring the creative conference experience to New Orleans. Together, they decided that there was a direct correlation between the vibrant arts scene is embedded in our culture and we wanted to highlight innovative ways for creatives to view business and introduce our city to those traveling to attend.
“We came together over the idea that while entrepreneurial resources are prevalent here in New Orleans, not many apply to the creative entrepreneur. We want to create something that is bigger than our individual businesses, VenturePOP is a community.”
